How to Transfer Money from Cash App to Venmo (and Back)
Cash App and Venmo don't connect directly. Here's the bank route (1–3 days) and the stablecoin route through Senddy that takes minutes.
You can't transfer money from Cash App to Venmo directly, or from Venmo to Cash App: they're separate networks. You have two options: go through your bank, which is free but slow, or go through stablecoins with Senddy, which takes minutes.
Senddy is a private payments app. You hold USDC (a digital dollar, also called a stablecoin) in a private balance on Base that earns yield, and you can send from it privately. PYUSD is PayPal USD, the stablecoin Venmo uses for its crypto wallet.
Can you send money from Cash App to Venmo?
No, Cash App has no way to pay a Venmo account, and Venmo has no way to pay a Cash App account. There is no link between the two apps. The same is true in the other direction.
You can still move money between them in two ways:
1.Through your bank. Move money from one app to your bank account, then from the bank into the other app.
2.Through stablecoins. Both apps now support stablecoin transfers, and Senddy sits in the middle.
Option 1: Move money through your bank
The bank route works for any amount and costs nothing at standard speed, but it typically takes one to three business days.
The steps are the same in either direction:
1.In the sending app, transfer your balance to your linked bank account.
2.Wait for the standard transfer to land, typically 1–3 business days.
3.In the receiving app, add money from the same bank account.
Both apps offer instant transfers for a fee. As of October 2026, Cash App charges 0.5%–2.5% for an instant transfer to a debit card (minimum $0.25–$1, maximum $75), per Cash App's help page. Venmo charges 1.75% (minimum $0.25, maximum $25), per Venmo's fee page. Each app shows the fee before you confirm.
This route needs a bank account linked to both apps, and it leaves a record at your bank and both apps.
Option 2: Move money through Senddy using stablecoins
The stablecoin route takes a few minutes. It works because both apps now handle stablecoins, and Senddy bridges between them.
As of October 2026:
Cash App sends and receives USDC on Solana, Ethereum, Polygon and Arbitrum. Cash App has no separate stablecoin balance. Received USDC converts to dollars in your Cash Balance, and sending converts dollars 1:1 to USDC. See Cash App's stablecoin help page.
Venmo holds PYUSD and supports it on Ethereum, Solana and Arbitrum. See Venmo's crypto transfer help page.
Senddy accepts USDC from Cash App and PYUSD from Venmo, bridges it for you through Relay, and pays out to Venmo as PYUSD. Relay is the bridge Senddy uses. See Bridging between networks.
Both apps require identity verification. Cash App stablecoins are not available in New York.
How to transfer money from Cash App to Venmo
This route is live today: Cash App sends USDC to Senddy, then you cash out from Senddy to Venmo as PYUSD, then sell the PYUSD for dollars in Venmo.
Part 1: Cash App to Senddy
1.In Senddy, tap Deposit, then Stablecoin Deposit.
2.Under Send from, choose Solana and copy the address. Solana is the cheapest option and its addresses can't be confused with another network's.
3.In Cash App, open the Payments tab ($), enter at least $1, and tap Pay.
4.Paste the Senddy address and tap Send.
The USDC usually reaches your private balance within a minute and starts earning yield. Cash App's limits are $2,000 a day and $5,000 a week for sending.
Part 2: Senddy to Venmo
1.In Venmo, open the Crypto tab, choose PYUSD, tap the transfer arrows, tap Receive and choose Arbitrum. Copy the address starting with 0x.
2.In Senddy, tap Cash Out, then Venmo.
3.Enter the amount and paste your Venmo address. Senddy doesn't save it, so you paste it each time.
4.Check the review screen. It shows the exact PYUSD that will arrive. The quote is rounded down.
5.Tap Confirm.
6.In Venmo, sell the PYUSD for USD. Venmo charges no fee to sell PYUSD. The dollars then sit in your Venmo balance, ready to spend or move to your bank.
You don't need ETH for gas. If the transfer can't be filled, the money returns to your private balance automatically. More detail: Venmo crypto and PYUSD and Cash App USDC.
How to transfer money from Venmo to Cash App
This direction goes through Senddy too: send PYUSD from Venmo to Senddy, which converts it to USDC, then send the USDC to Cash App.
Part 1: Venmo to Senddy
1.In Senddy, tap Deposit, then Stablecoin Deposit, choose Solana or Arbitrum, and copy the address.
2.In Venmo, open Crypto, choose PYUSD, tap the transfer arrows, tap Send, paste the address and choose the same network.
3.Review and confirm. Senddy converts the PYUSD to USDC before it enters your balance.
Senddy accepts PYUSD on Solana, Ethereum and Arbitrum. Solana or Arbitrum usually cost least. Venmo charges a network fee when you send to an outside wallet.
Part 2: Senddy to Cash App
1.In Cash App, go to the Money tab, tap Deposit stablecoins, choose Solana, and copy the address.
2.In Senddy, tap Send and paste the address. A Solana address is detected automatically.
3.Review and confirm. It usually takes about a minute. The minimum is 1 USDC.
4.Cash App converts the USDC to dollars in your Cash Balance.
Cash App limits receiving to $10,000 a week. Accounts under 90 days old may have a lower limit.
Bank vs Senddy: which should you use?
Use your bank for large amounts you don't need quickly. Use Senddy when speed matters or you want to keep part of the trail off your bank statement.
| Through your bank | Through Senddy | |
|---|---|---|
| Time | Typically 1–3 business days (standard) | Minutes |
| Cost | Free at standard speed; instant costs 0.5%–2.5% (Cash App) or 1.75% (Venmo) | Network cost of about 0.04% on $100 via Solana, plus Senddy's fee (see Pricing) |
| Limits | Set by each app and your bank | Cash App: $2,000/day and $5,000/week sending, $10,000/week receiving |
| Privacy | Records at your bank and both apps | Funding transfer is public onchain; both apps keep their own records |
Bridge costs are typical at time of writing, from live Relay quotes in October 2026. Senddy to Venmo as PYUSD on Arbitrum lost about 0.20% on $100 and 0.14% on $1,000.
On privacy, be precise. The transfer from Cash App to Senddy is public onchain, and Cash App and Venmo keep their own records. Privacy applies once the money is inside your Senddy balance. For the full picture, read how to send money anonymously.
